Glidcop is a non-heat-treated copper alloy system that is reinforced with ultra-fine alumina oxide particles, possessing unique properties of high strength and high conductivity, which are typically contradictory in other copper alloy systems. Another characteristic of Glidcop is the stability of alumina oxide particles even under high-temperature conditions. Even when exposed to high temperatures for extended periods, the alumina oxide particles prevent the crystallization coarsening and recrystallization of the particles, maintaining the toughness of the copper matrix.
